Project Overview
A Candy-Coated Christmas Story
Peppermint Dreams was created as part of an annual holiday card tradition that combines photography, design, and storytelling. Inspired by the visual language of peppermint candy, the project embraced cool tones, high contrast imagery, and playful holiday styling.
From the original photoshoot through extensive post-production, the project transformed simple portraits into a polished holiday concept that balanced festive charm with editorial-inspired aesthetics.
Creation Process
Candy Cane Cameos
Before the polish, there was the pose. Shot in soft light with bold intent, these original images laid the foundation for the final card design. The goal was to capture clean compositions, confident expressions, and a playful peppermint-inspired energy that could later be amplified through editing.
Photoshop & Frosting
This is where the magic happened. Through retouching, color correction, compositing, and visual effects, each portrait was transformed into a polished holiday concept. Every adjustment added depth, atmosphere, and the signature frosty finish that brought Peppermint Dreams to life.
